Photography course

I have been wanting to take some kind of class for photography since I got my DSLR last November. I finally found one that I am interested in! I am now enrolled in a photography course. I am very excited with this decision. I am hoping to improve my understanding of photography and to get better at taking photos. Wish me luck on my new journey!

The Apple Works

Last week we took a field trip to The Apple Works. The kids were all very well behaved. They all got to feed the animals and we took a ride on the train that they had! I think Ian's favorite thing was the big slide.

Learning new skills at the Children's Museum

This time at the museum we visited Egypt. The kids got to explore this interesting new culture.

holiday weekend

This holiday weekend was pretty uneventful. Due to the rain we were unable to go outside until Monday. I am very glad that the rain dissipated by Monday because that was the one day that we planned something! We had a bunch of friends and family come over to do some target practice down at the big barn. We ended up having a very nice time. It turned out that both of my batteries for my camera were dead :( I was very unhappy about this, therefore I have no pictures of the day. I made some BBQ chicken on the grill and some hot dogs. I think it was a big hit, all of the chicken was eaten by the end of the day and all but two hot dogs from a big package! I get such satisfaction from feeding people.
Yesterday the kids were watching television and I grabbed a picture of each of them.

Rainy Sunday afternoon.

We have spent the entire day sitting inside doing a bunch of nothing. Ian asked me to paint his face like a ninja. I did my best! I had to do Anya next, so I tried to make her look like a rag doll. She ended up looking like the Joker off of the new Batman movie. She was very unhappy with that! We washed her face and ended up with a butterfly. The first picture is of them watching Dora the explorer. The second picture I didn't have to sneak, Ian asked me to take his picture after he got all of his gear on. He called himself an army ninja.

I had the opportunity to relax at the winery and chat with my friend while listening to live music. John sat at home with the kids! A nice experience!
